- Why does our title say L.I.F.E. in lieu of Life, you ask? With compassion for our daughter and other children with special needs, Lauren's Institute For Education (L.I.F.E.) is our gift to those special children. L.I.F.E. was created in honor of our daughter, Lauren, who has Sanfilippo Syndrome, a terminal illness. Several hundred children visit L.I.F.E. each week for speech, occupation, physical, music and/or habilitation therapy. For more information, visit our website at http://www.laurensinstitute.org.

He looks quite handsome! Very exciting these little guys growing up so big!
Be sure to note any "Nathanisms" he reports about school. Of course, he had been to pre-school, so maybe it's not as exciting, although all those computers and microscopes will surely be a reason for discussion.
I hope his teacher loves him so much that she gives him lots of work to make him sweat!
